Breezy Meadow Pointers Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?
My husband and I live in a small town in the countryside of Amador County, Northern California.
Can we visit your home or property?
At this time, we do not offer visits to our home or property. The privacy and safety of our family, and dogs are very important to us. We understand that choosing a breeder is an important decision. Throughout the puppy process, we share photos, videos, and occasional live videos on our instagram so families can follow along and watch their puppy grow. We are always happy to answer questions and help families feel informed and confident as they prepare to welcome a Breezy Meadow Pointers puppy into their home. When the time comes, we meet families in town for puppy pick-up gotcha day.
How do I reserve a puppy?
To reserve a puppy, please complete the puppy inquiry form on our Contact Us page. Families are welcome to join our (general) waiting list at no cost. We maintain separate waiting list for males and females for each litter. For upcoming litters, a (limited) number of early pick spots may be reserved with a $500 non-refundable deposit once a pregnancy is confirmed.
If we have a puppy currently available, a $500 non-refundable deposit may also be placed to reserve that specific puppy. Deposits are applied towards the purchase price of your puppy. Once a deposit is received, we'll send our reservation agreement through DocuSign. If your preferred puppy is unavailable or timing changes, we are happy to transfer your deposit to a future litter.
When do families choose their puppy?
Families on our waiting list are notified when a litter is born. we then announce the litter and share a newborn photoshoot introducing each puppy by their litter theme name, Usually when the puppies are around 1-2 weeks old. We like to spend the first week focused on mom and puppies before introducing them to our families.
We continue sharing photos and videos as the puppies grow so families can get to know their personalities and follow their development. Puppy selections are made in order of reserved pick spots and deposits received. Families with early pick spots are typically asked to make their selection by 4 weeks of age or sooner, so the remaining families have an opportunity to choose their puppies as well. We are always happy to answer questions and help families find the right fit.
As part of our breeding program, Breezy Meadow Pointers reserves the right to retain a puppy from any litter. If choose to keep a puppy, families will be notified before puppy selection begin.

Yes. For families who are unable to travel, we can provide contact information for trusted pet nannies that we have personally used and feel comfortable recommending. We help coordinate the arrangements and connect families directly with the pet nanny. Throughout the journey, the pet nanny stays in touch with both our family and yours, providing updates along the way. Some families also choose to travel to Northern California and meet us locally for puppy pick-up. Transportation arrangements are made separately and are at the puppy family's expense.
Do you stay in touch with your puppy families?
